NFL ALU HALL

Crossing the pond and touching down from the USA, last month London welcomed the NFL with a series of games at Wembley Stadium and Losberger De Boer helped kick off the celebration by providing the structure for the Official NFL Walk in Super Store.

Working through Cube Management to supply merchandise provider Fanatics, a space that was constructed to house 32 team’s worth of apparel including a range of gameday exclusives and accommodate a click and collect system to ensure fans were able to purchase pre-game and guarantee they got the products they wanted.

The build took the Losberger De Boer team just two days to construct and the Cube Management were able to kit it out with branded cladding, flooring, heating and electrics for the ultimate fan experience.

Andy Moss, Director of Cube Management said “ Loseberger Deboer were a fabulous partner, working to very tight deadlines and delivering a faultless job; which meant Cube were able to deliver a fabulous solution, on time and on brand to our clients”

Jamie Southam, Event Sales Manager for Losberger De Boer said “Being a big fan myself, it’s been great working with Cube and Fanatics on the merch shop for the NFL UK games. At Losberger De Boer, we pride ourselves and are committed to providing excellent customer service for all our clients and were thrilled to have helped construct a space where the NFL could provide a great game day experience for their fans”

The NFL returns to the UK in 2019 where plans are in place to host four matches over two venues, Wembley Stadium and for the first time the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Vodafone Christmas Ad 2

It’s been a busy year for Losberger De Boer and we’re rounding out the year with lights, cameras and action as our structures become stars of the small screen.

We’re ready for our close up…

Great British Menu

The heat was on for the finalists of the BBC culinary hit ‘The Great British Menu’ which this year honoured the heroes of the NHS. The final banquet took place at St Barts, the oldest hospital in Britain built in the 1700’s and it was essential the guests had enough space to celebrate in style. Losberger De Boer constructed the kitchen used by the four finalists in the courtyard of a building steeped in history, being sympathetic to the surroundings and providing a much-needed solution when space was tight. The kitchens were fully installed with all the facilities and utilities the chefs needed to prepare their stunning dishes

Christmas is coming, and Martin Freeman looks like he’s excited about it in the 2018 Vodafone Christmas Advert debuted on the 9th of November. Pitched up in a rural English market town in Wiltshire, Losberger De Boer constructed the complete ice rink, allowing Martin to embrace his Christmas cheer and really show off his moves. Our ice rinks are fully customisable and are a great focal point for winter celebrations. We work with our trusted suppliers to provide flooring, any roofing or covering and can provide additional spaces for bars and restaurant, perfect retreats for last minute shopping for relatives you forgot about.

Alan Abretti, Special Project Ice Consultant who comissioned the build said “We’ve worked with Losberger De Boer on various major projects before and found they have consistently delivered on what they promised, which is why we chose to work with them again on the Vodafone Christmas Advert. The team were able to work within the short time frame, to the high quality standard we needed and remained on budget.  They provide great customer service, deal with any issues in a swift and timely manner and were completely adaptable to our requirements”

Fortnum and Mason Christmas Ad

It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment, but we spot with our festive eye the Skate @ Somerset House Ice Rink provided by Losberger De Boer!

It took a cool 4 days to build in the Somerset House Edmond J. Safra Fountain courtyard. We built two of Losberger’s multiflex structures, one of which houses the Skate Lounge offering a front row view of the ice rink and a range of festive treats. Packing was used to create a level floor to protect the courtyard floor and support the ice rink structure and anti-slip floor panels were used in the structures to ensure skating safety.

Building on a 'Blank Canvas': Losberger De Boer at Decorex International

Decorex 2018

Losberger De Boer partners with United Business Media to build 19,000 square metres of space at Syon Park for annual interior design show.

Working with United Business Media (UBM), Losberger De Boer recently created the central exhibition space for Decorex International 2018 – the UK’s prestigious luxury interiors and design show.

Returning to Syon Park from 16 – 19 September, this year’s show theme was ‘Blank Canvas – how an empty space can celebrate a new beginning.’ Over 400 international exhibitors were showcased within two 50m x 155m Jumbo Halls, providing them with no shortage of room to inspire designers.

John Cochrane, Sales Director – Events at Losberger De Boer, said:

“Decorex International is always a hotly anticipated event for interior designers looking for luxury design inspiration, and we relish the challenge of creating space which reflects this heritage.

“Syon Park, as well as being the London home of the Duke of Northumberland, hosts a series of events across the year so it was paramount the large exhibition spaces were built quickly and effectively. In true team spirit, the Losberger De Boer crew built all 19,000 square metres of space in just eleven days.”

The main exhibition space also housed the new drinks bar serving botanically infused cocktails, designed by Lambarte and Browne, a London based commercial interior design team. An evolution of the champagne bar provided by Decorex in previous years, this area of the Jumbo Hall was decorated with ambient lighting and luxury furniture.

In addition to the exhibition space, Losberger De Boer supplied two hexagonal Acropolis pavilions for a luxury street food café and a 20-metre-wide Alu Hall for the restaurant, which has no internal supports enabling visitors and exhibitors to move and mingle freely.

Kerrie Kemp, Group Operations Manager at UBM, commented:

“The Losberger De Boer team is always incredibly effective in helping create the exhibition and minimising any disturbance to the Park and its grounds. The vast array of structures supplied this year, including areas such as the welfare tent and registration area, were delivered to the highest standard.”

Losberger De Boer's Iconic Build

Jumbo Hall at Icons of Rugby

Losberger De Boer has recently constructed over 2000sqm of event space for the Icons of Rugby 2018 - a unique golf event bringing together some of the real icons of rugby.

This is the first of three events that the temporary structure specialist will be working on in the Icons series, which will also include Icons of Football and Icons of Cricket in 2019.

Hosted at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, Icons of Rugby saw over twenty stars play in a Ryder Cup style team format with the southern-hemisphere competing against the northern-hemisphere.

At this year’s competition, Losberger De Boer constructed its massive Jumbo Hall to house the event's hospitality facilities which included a fine dining restaurant and gin tasting experience.

The structure’s minimal internal supports ensured optimal use of the area and provided an unobstructed event space. The building was also fitted with a built-in ventilation system to create a more comfortable indoor climate for guests.

Tom Brookes – CEO and Founder of Iconiqe said:

“The Icons series is an unusual sporting event format; taking leading sports personalities from their natural sporting environments and then asking them to compete against their peers on the golf course. The players are all fiercely competitive which only adds to the excitement.

“We needed an event venue that could adapt to our requirements and a supplier who could provide advice on how we could creatively get the most out of our hospitality areas – and that’s exactly the service we received from the Losberger De Boer team. I look forward to seeing what else we achieve over the next two Icons events.”

Despite its size, the flexible design of the structure meant the team was able to complete the build in just five days and dismantle it in under 72 hours, ensuring there was minimal disruption to Buckinghamshire Golf Club outside of the competition.

The adaptability of the Jumbo Hall meant it could also be repurposed for the various hospitality events on offer, such as Paul Carrack playing live in front of a select group of only 350 guests on the Sunday evening of the event.

John Cochrane, Sales Director – Events commented:

“This is the first of three Icons events that Losberger De Boer will be providing structures for, so we were delighted to get involved in the early stages of this innovative sporting event.

“Our excellent relationship with the Buckinghamshire Golf Club helped with the smooth running of this project and allowed us to build an event space that delivered a memorable experience for everyone who attended."

The team also provided various smaller ancillary structures, as well as an outside terrace that was surrounded by large glass panels. The location of the terrace overlooked the river and provided spectators with a picturesque view across Buckinghamshire Golf Club’s grounds.

Take time to smell the roses

De Boer at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Losberger De Boer builds Floral Marquee and celebrates the Festival of Roses at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

At this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, the Floral Marquee, constructed by Losberger De Boer, spanned over 6,750 square metres and welcomed 140,000 visitors over the seven-day event.

Losberger De Boer also built structures to house this year’s Festival of Roses, which included displays from Eastcroft Roses, Seale Nurseries, David Austin Roses, Peter Beales Roses, Harkness Roses, Fryer’s Roses, The Real Flower Company and UK Roses.

In addition, two new rose species were unveiled for the first time, Rosa ‘Sarah Elizabeth’ and ‘Eirene’ Memorial Rose, and Rosa ‘Starlight Symphony’ was named Rose of the Year.

The Floral Marquee, built using a gigantic Jumbo Hall, incorporated features specifically designed for the event, such as the patented ventilation grid system which enabled a constant circulation of fresh air throughout the marquee, helping keep exhibits at their best while maintaining a comfortable indoor climate.

Despite the huge scale of the Jumbo Hall the team took only five days to build it. Klaudia Zamorska, Project Coordinator at Losberger De Boer, commented on this year’s project:

“Losberger De Boer has worked with RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show for the past six years and building the centrepiece for the event is always a rewarding challenge. This year’s show was as impressive as ever and the scale of the Jumbo Hall was the ideal structure to properly showcase the talent of the exhibitors.”

The absence of interior supports within the Floral Marquee also allowed for the optimum use of the space and limited disruption to any of the displays.

David Edwards, Head of Show Operations at RHS, commented:

“The Floral Marquee is an integral part of the show and we were delighted to work with Losberger De Boer again this year. The team always delivers a breath-taking structure whilst ensuring that all our exhibitors have enough prior access to the exhibition space to prepare their displays – ready to deliver an amazing event for visitors.”
