Arnout de Hair, CEO Losberger De Boer, is pleased with the agreement. “Together with our banks we have created a solid financial structure, reduced our financing costs and have been provided with sufficient headroom to execute our company-wide improvement and integration programme. This agreement reflects the support and belief of the banks in our strategy. Losberger De Boer has now a solid base to continue implementing its strategic programme and to capitalize on its opportunities for further growth.”
Losberger De Boer is set for a blooming summer as it continues its partnerships with two of the world’s biggest flower shows. The team will be returning to Hampton Court Palace and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show as they provide a variety of space solutions to enhance the consumer experience at both annual events.
At Hampton Court Palace, Losberger De Boer will once again build the large Floral Marquee exhibition hall to showcase the array floral displays, best nurseries and exhibiting specialists built on a waterside location surrounded by music stages and adjacent to the plant village. Special ventilation systems are installed to keep both the plants and people happy, and the structure is built over the existing grounds to enhance the rural aesthetic.
At the Chelsea Flower Show, the structures especially designed for the event will be making an experience with an enormous 13m high structure erected to cover the The Chillianwallah Memorial, a statue commemorating the 1849 battle of that name during the Second Sikh War. The structures will provide exhibition halls, offices and conference suites for guests and the double decker Ranelagh Restaurant provides a seafood restaurant with champagne terrace for VIP guests.
John Cochrane, Event Sales Director said “We’re thrilled to be working with the RHS again on the Hampton Court and Chelsea Flower Shows. Over the years, we’ve created bespoke solutions for each events needs and acknowledged the desire to be sympathetic to the historic surroundings. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the years to come and assisting the RHS to create the best possible experience”

Magazine London has been unveiled as a new event space located on the developing Greenwich Peninsula, and Losberger De Boer are excited to have been commissioned to deliver groundworks, structure and internal fit-out for this multi-million-pound project.
Sitting next to The O2 and stone’s throw from Canary Wharf and London Docklands, Magazine London will provide a blank canvas for a wide variety of events and exhibitions.
Building work for the event space has already begun with a robust and practical steel-framed structure being erected on the west side of the Peninsula that will provide flexible event space across two principal rooms and two mezzanine floors.
The main structure is 36m x 93m with an 8.5m clear internal heights, linked to a large 18m x 25m reception area, allowing the venue to accommodate up to 3,000 guests. Larger events can also be accommodated by utilising the external areas for fun-fair rides, festival-type stages and other additional temporary facilities. The bespoke build merges an all black look and style with polished concrete floors to create a high-quality look evoking an urban and industrial aesthetic. The semi-permenant structure will be in use for 8 – 10 years and work will be completed by July 2019 ready for the public opening in September 2019.
Losberger De Boer has been working closely with developer Knight Dragon as well as Venue Lab – a Vibration Group company and creators of the award-winning venues Printworks London and Landing Forty Two to create this exciting new venue.
Magazine London was introduced as part of Knight Dragon’s ‘meantime development’ of the area, allowing them to create a cultural hub on the emerging Peninsula, generating both employment and a vibrant entertainment venue on land that would have otherwise remained unused. This is intended to add energy to the wider development of the area and is a key part of their 25 year master plan.
Throughout the process, Losberger De Boer has engaged with the Environment Agency and other key stakeholders to ensure construction can be carried out without risk to the nearby riverbank or affecting the enjoyment of others using the river bank walkway on a daily basis.
Robert Alvarez, Commercial Sales Director said “We’re thrilled to be working with an exciting and dynamic client like Knight Dragon on the Magazine London project. Our teams have worked closely together, taken their inspiration and bespoke requests and now have the task of turning it into reality... foundations, steel framed structure, cladding and internal fit-out! It’s going to be an intense few months, but we’re excited to see the build finally under way and planning for handover in July”
Paul Symons of Knight Dragon added, “Magazine London and the team at Vibration Group needed a building solutions supplier who could deliver their vision in good time and to a high specification. As such, we’re thrilled to have Losberger De Boer working with us with on the project. The team share our enthusiasm for creating innovative and exciting spaces that really mean something to its end users, and we’re excited to see the finished build this summer”
