Acciona and De Boer commit to Sustainable Development

On Wednesday October 26 2011 it was presented the 100% EcoPowered ACCIONA, the first ship of highly competitive sailing IMOCA 60 that feeds the navigation systems, communications, hydraulics and engines with renewable energy.

Acciona has designed the first transoceanic racing boat with power generation systems based entirely on renewable sources, 100% Ecopowered ACCIONA. The boat has been officially presented in Barcelona by the President of Acciona, José Manuel Entrecanales, in the framework of the Global Clean Energy Conference 2011, as an example of the fact that renewable energies are a real alternative to conventional energy whenever there is corporate commitment and institutional framework to make it happen. For the presentation and launching of 100% EcoPowered ACCIONA, De Boer built his structure Alu Vista model, with a facade based on panoramic glass panels.
