And De Boer’s flexible solutions mean that structures can be used as stand-alone units, can be connected to existing buildings or – in the case of the innovative, glass-sided Panorama structure – can even be erected inside permanent exhibition halls, allowing delegates to attend break-out speaker sessions without having to leave the main venue.

Temporary exhibition venue
De Boer is able to tackle assignments of any scale and complexity – as witnessed during the biennial Farnborough International Airshow, for which the company creates the world’s largest temporary exhibition venue. During a relationship spanning more than a decade, the company has been hired by organisers to supply an ever-expanding array of structures, with the most recent airshow involving the erection of more than 90,000 square metres of temporary accommodation. This included five huge exhibition halls, more than a kilometre of hospitality chalets, plus media facilities, public dining areas and even short-term aircraft hangars.

Short-term facilities
Other assignments have ranged from the supply of short-term facilities for meetings of G8 political leaders to the creation of the spectacular ‘Great Pavilion’ as the centrepiece of the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show.
