The growing popularity of ice skating has seen De Boer building on its reputation as a premier supplier of tents and marquees by taking a leading role in providing modular, quick-to-build structures and other semi-permanent facilities during the creation of temporary rinks in the UK and across Europe.

Innovative semi-permanent solutions
Innovative semi-permanent solutions offered by the company have included the supply of short-term changing, office, viewing, first-aid and dining facilities, as well as the creation of bases and flooring for the rinks themselves.

Temporary shelters
Within the UK, temporary shelters and other facilities have been created across the country, alongside rinks built for the busy Christmas period at many of London’s most famous locations – including Hampton Court, Marble Arch, the Tower of London and Hampstead Heath.

Double-decker units
De Boer’s extensive range of structures means the company can maximise the use of very limited space, as seen at the Natural History Museum where a double-decker unit was erected on a restricted plot of land immediately in front of the historic building.

Festive ice rinks
The festive ice rink assignments have been tackled on behalf of a wide range of local authorities and leisure providers and have involved De Boer working with many sub-contractors including icefloor specialists.
